History
Financial Engineering evolved from our university’s Finance major established in 1997 (later adjusted to the Securities Investment direction in 2008). The Financial Engineering major was approved in 2013 and was selected as one of the first batch of “National First-Class Undergraduate Program” in 2019.
Features
Relying on the strengths of HFUT as an engineering university, the Financial Engineering major engages in interdisciplinary cooperation to create a distinctive focus on “Financial Technology and Big Data”. The major has independently developed a student learning and practical training platform, achieving autonomous and information-based learning. It actively carries out international cooperation, making full use of high-quality international resources, and has established joint educational programs with institutions such as the Australian National University, Clark University in the United States, and the University of Warsaw in Poland.
