Notice of Call for Papers

To promote the development of research on Intelligent Finance & Accounting in China, Hefei University of Technology’s School of Economics, in cooperation with the Journal of Accounting Literature, an internationally renowned journal of finance and accounting, is organizing the 2024 2nd China International Conference on Intelligent Finance & Accounting (CICIFA). The conference focuses on frontier research on Intelligent Finance & Accounting, and the conference organizers along with the editorial board of the journal plan to select about six papers to be published in the China Issue of the Journal of Accounting Literature, which is a regular issue of the journal.


Paper Topics

The theme of this conference is “Smart Finance and Accounting in a Chinese Context”, both theoretical and empirical research are welcome. The topics include but are not limited to

1. Emerging technology use and corporate financial activities

2. Emerging technology use and corporate accounting behavior

3. Emerging technology use and corporate technological innovation

4. Emerging technology use and financial risk prevention

5. Emerging technology use and low-carbon economic transformation

6. Emerging technology use and climate finance and ESG indicators

7. Application of emerging technologies in the field of sustainable development

Submission of Papers

1. Papers must be submitted in English, and presentations can be made in either Chinese or English.

2. Authors must submit both an anonymous paper and a paper with author information (divided into two files). The names of the two files should be: “first author’s name + title + anonymous paper” and “first author’s name + title + full paper”. The file format should be PDF version.

3. Paper submission email: cicifa_hfut@163.com.

4. Please state in the subject of the email: “CICIFA + first author’s name + paper title”.

5. Deadline for paper submission: February 25, 2024.

6. Other notes:

Papers will be reviewed anonymously, and authors of papers selected for the annual conference will be notified of acceptance by March 22, 2024.

All authors of papers selected for the annual conference may be invited to critique a paper in addition to the presented paper.

Journal of Accounting Literature and China Issue

Journal of Accounting Literature is an internationally renowned journal in the field of finance and accounting (Association of Business School-ranked journals rated three stars) and enjoys a high reputation in the academic community. After the conference, the Editor-in-Chief and Guest Editors will follow the review criteria of the Journal of Accounting Literature to screen the papers from the annual conference and invite the best papers to be submitted to China Issue for further review. Selected papers will be reviewed according to normal journal review criteria.

Note: Papers presented at the conference are not guaranteed to be published in the China Issue of the Journal of Accounting Literature, but being selected and presented at the conference is a prerequisite for acceptance of the paper in the China Issue.
