Pre-Application Notice for the Master’s Dual Degree Program between Hefei University of Technology and the Australian National University

Program Introduction

A dual master’s degree program between Hefei University of Technology (HFUT) and the Australian National University (ANU), is now open to postgraduate students currently studying at the School of Economics of HFUT. The ANU master’s programs available for application include International and Development Economics and the Master of Environmental and Resource Economics. Admitted students will undertake a one-year master’s course in the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU. After completing studies at HFUT and ANU, students who meet the degree-granting requirements of both universities will receive corresponding master’s degrees from HFUT and ANU. 

ANU offers two annual intakes, allowing applicants to choose between January (semester 1) or June (semester 2) for enrollment. 

Students applying for the June 2024 intake of the program should submit a “Pre-application Form for Joint Master’s Dual Degree Program of HFUT and ANU” to the International Education Center of the School of Economics at HFUT. Appplication Requirements

    Grade requirements: GPA no less than 3.0;

    English language requirements: IELTS no less than 6.5, with no section score below 6.0 (or equivalent English proficiency). For details, please visit the official website of the Australian National University: https://policies.anu.edu.au/ppl/document/ANUP_000408; 

    Graduate-level course requirements

    Completion of six graduate-level courses at the School of Economics, HFUT: “Advanced Macroeconomics 1” “Advanced Macroeconomics 2”, “Advanced Microeconomics 1”, “Advanced Microeconomics 2”, “Advanced Econometrics 1”, and “Advanced Econometrics 2” (An average score of not less than 75 out of 100).
